Powder Coatings
Powder coatings are a mixture of resin, pigments and additives which, in the production process are mixed, extruded, ground and packed as powder in plastic bags in boxes.
They are suitable for electrostatic application on surfaces (metals, MDF, temperature-resistant plastic materials) and following heat treatment or irradiation they result in both decorative and/or anti-corrosion protection of structures.
Powder coatings are environmentally-friendly as they do not contain organic solvents which represent from 20 to 80 % of ingredients in standard paints and lacquers. Useful efficiency in painting with powder coatings is much higher and amounts to approximately 99 %. Powder coatings have the most favourable ecological balance in comparison with other paints and lacquers. They are highly shock-resistant and resistant to abrasion and chemicals and have very good anti-corrosion characteristics.
